Specialising in fabrication, abrasive blasting, corrosion protection and erection of structural steelwork, the company has a capacity of between 100 to 400 tons of structural and architectural steelwork per month, depending on scope, product mix and specific project specification.
Turnkey packages include the design and supply of building through Mictec, Cadcon’s in-house engineering design department.
Other services include crane, truck and trailer hire (22m extendable available for abnormal long loads), as well as sundry cutting and bending of plate. The company can offer structural steelwork in and around South Africa. This is highlighted by some of the major projects that the company has completed including airport terminal Buildings for ACSA, Johannesburg International Airport new Domestic Terminal Buildings (2200 tons), new International Pier Development (800 tons) and new Central terminal buildings (3000 tons). Distribution warehouse facilities for Woolworths in Midrand covering 85000m2, Pepcor distribution facilities and New Spar South Rand (800 tons). Industrial Developments including the new Industrial development zone (IDZ) in East London, Breweries including SAB in Rosslyn and the New Heineken Breweries near Vanderbijl park in JV (450 tons) Motor industry projects for Daimler Chrysler in East London – new paint shop and New paintshop and bodyshop for BMW (SA) in Rosslyn.
Export facilities are firmly in place for deliveries to the rest of the world with projects seeing the export of steel trenching panels, in excess of 1500 tons, for Krings Verbau in France.
